In memory of Oliver the CD "Out of Sight" is out today via Black Genesis Records. We would like to express our thanks to all the artists and people involved. With your passion you contribute that Oli and his music will always be with us. A special thank goes to Francisco for his tireless efforts.
In Gedenken an Oliver erscheint heute die CD "Out of Sight" über Black Genesis Records. Wir möchten allen beteiligten Künstlern und Personen unserern Dank aussprechen. Mit Eurer Leidenschaft tragt ihr dazu bei, dass Oli und seine Musik uns immer begleiten. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Francisco für seinen unermüdlichen Einsatz.

It is with great sadness that we must inform you that our beloved co-founder and head of the band, Oliver Heuer, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on 12/11/19.
We are all still reeling, and the pain of his loss cannot be put into words. Oliver was not only the most wonderful partner, father and friend, but also an extraordinary musician with a keen ear and an uncanny ability to capture a mood or feeling and translate this into song.
Throughout the band´s long history, he always remained true to himself and his unmistakable style, and yet he was always open to trying new things. He was a versatile and multifaceted musician.
Together with his family and friends, we are very keen to preserve his music and keep his memory alive. His music will be with us forever and will continue to be available via this page. Furthermore, we are currently working on some unpublished pieces, which we hope to release in the near future. A new CD featuring recently recorded songs will be released soon.
Immer noch fassungslos müssen wir Euch mitteilen, dass Mitgründer und Kopf der Band, Oliver Heuer, am 11.12.19 plötzlich und völlig unerwartet von uns gegangen ist.
Der Schmerz über den Verlust könnte nicht größer sein. Oliver war nicht nur der großartigste Partner, Vater und Freund, sondern auch ein außergewöhnlicher Musiker mit einem ausgeprägten Gehör und einem sensiblen Gespür für Stimmungen und der Fähigkeit diese in ausdrucksvolle Lieder zu verwandeln. In der langen Bandgeschichte ist er sich und seinem unverwechselbaren Stil stets treu geblieben, war aber immer offen für Neues, vielseitig und wandelbar.
Gemeinsam mit der Familie und Freunden ist uns sehr daran gelegen, sein musikalisches Andenken zu bewahren. Seine Musik wird uns für immer begleiten und wird auch weiterhin über diese Seite erhältlich sein. Des Weiteren wird derzeit an der Herausgabe noch nicht veröffentlichter Stücke gearbeitet. Eine neue CD mit kürzlich aufgenommenen Liedern wird bald erhältlich sein.

Es werden alle Cover sowie CDs ein neues Artwork bekommen - die Alben werden entweder als Digipacks oder als Cardboard Cover erscheinen. Mehr Infos in Kürze.

SWEET WILLIAM (Germany) - It seems we're not the only band who have celebrated their 30th anniversary in October, so have Oliver Heuer's SW. Admittedly, our own celebrations may have gone a little skewiff, but I'm pleased to say they didn't join us in spending three months trapped in another dimension. Instead, they went for the more sensible options of a book, a CD boxed set and a special commemorative t-shirt. I think we'll let them plan ours next time, not that I didn't enjoy a half a lager and a bag of crisps in The Bourne Arms, it just seemed a little understated for three decades. You live and learn. The new album "Ocean" is a concept album which is enjoyed best listening in one take:
The album begins with a prologue, classically instrumented, then proceeds directly with the title track "Ocean"
which finally opens the album in the good old rock style and straightforward.
Constant tempo changes and musical opposites merge into one another, without losing the thread that runs
through the issue of "Ocean" in its content.
SWEET WILLIAM’s music is back to its roots which leaded them to be a successful band signed on the respected
Hyperium and Dion Fortune labels, and the first drummer of the band, Marius Nagel is back with SWEET WILLIAM !
“Ocean” is about the human abyss, weaknesses, loneliness and longing, but also about beauty, hopes, dreams and trust in life.
Driving drums and electronics passages merge seamlessly into minimalistic pieces that leave room for your own
illusions and dreams.
SWEET WILLIAM’s music at times seems threatening, dark – but then again bright and shiny –
